Job Title: Facility Operations Manager

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for sports and recreation? Do you have experience in managing facilities and programs? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facility Operations Manager to join our team at the Corpus Christi Multi Sports Complex.

Job Summary:

The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Corpus Christi Stadium and Multi Sports Complex. This includes supervising staff, managing programs and services, developing new revenue sources, and ensuring the overall quality and efficiency of operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the operation of the Corpus Christi Stadium and Multi Sports Complex
  • Develop and implement comprehensive youth and adult programs and services
  • Develop new revenue sources to maximize the use of the facility
  • Supervise program and facility staff members, including scheduling, training, and evaluations
  • Anticipate and resolve facility problems and complaints
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for leisure, recreation, and facilities
  • Develop and implement technical and operational procedures to achieve improved economy and efficiency
  • Develop and implement a customer service approach to create an exceptional experience
  • Inspect and monitor all major programs, services, staff, and facilities to evaluate quality and efficiency
  • Define issues, collect data, analyze information, and evaluate alternative solutions
  • Research and develop new programs, operating procedures, and revenue sources
  • Prepare and monitor compliance with the facilities budget
  • Maintain financial records, including revenue and fees generated by programs
  • Negotiate and monitor vendor and concession contracts and operations
  • Supervise implementation and enforcement of risk management and safety policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Monitor accident, incident, and emergency situation reports
  • Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and enforcement of facility policies, procedures, and standards
  • Make periodic written and oral reports to the management team
  • Research, prepare, and administer grant applications for recreation facilities, improvement projects, and programs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a youth sports tournament venue or facility
  • Experience working in the sports industry
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge and experience in figure skating, hockey, gymnastics, or wellness programs
  • Ability to participate in sports activities and programming associated with a sports center
