Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at the American Bank Center. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the facility, including engineering, maintenance, set-up / changeovers, custodial/housekeeping and grounds keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operation and maintenance of the facility and all systems, including HVAC, sound, lighting, fire protection, life safety, workplace safety, communications, and video boards.
  • Schedule and oversee Changeover Supervisors, Building Mechanics, Building Services staff, and other personnel as needed.
  • Provide support and management oversight of Custodial services, including daily cleaning, pre-event, event, and post-event cleaning, and day-to-day operations.
  • Manage preventative maintenance program for all facility assets, tracking, logging, scheduling, and monitoring all facets to extend the life of equipment and systems.
  • Oversee the administration of all part-time staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating.
  • Provide support and management oversight of the Operations department, including event set-up and tear-down, such as basketball floor, stage risers, chairs, signs, and other equipment.
  • Assist in negotiation and administration of contracts with outside vendors, including pest control, scoreboard systems, seasonal landscaping, and other services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred.
  • Three to five years' experience in facility operations management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of physical plant management, supervisory skills, and experience in work crew supervision in facility operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended consecutive days.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid CPR certificate.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid state driver's license.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid forklift license.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
