KINGSWAY ARMS NURSING CENTER INC is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Senior Accountant. This role encompasses a range of financial and accounting responsibilities, primarily centered around overseeing payroll functions for our healthcare facility.
As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
Core Responsibilities:
- Timely and precise evaluation of timecards, payroll processing, and preparation of necessary financial reports.
- Conducting intricate account reconciliations and analyses, including bi-weekly labor management reports.
- Assisting in the formulation of budgets and generating ad-hoc reports for multiple legal entities.
- Acting as an internal resource for training personnel on Timekeeping and HRIS software applications.
- Building effective relationships with leadership while upholding a culture of service excellence.
- Recording cash transactions for designated entities and transaction types as assigned.
- Providing support to fellow Finance team members through cross-training on various responsibilities.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A demonstrated ability to navigate challenging and confidential situations.
- Knowledge of GAAP and standard auditing practices.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with relevant ERP/GL software is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- The capability to manage multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
Applicants should have:
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of three years of experience in finance or accounting; experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered at the discretion of KINGSWAY ARMS NURSING CENTER INC.
