Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Montessori Educator to join our team at Breakthrough Montessori PCS. This role is perfect for a passionate and experienced educator who is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.

About the Role
The Primary Guide will be responsible for planning and implementing high-fidelity Montessori programming, working closely with the Principal and Assistant Principal to ensure that all students receive equitable access to instruction and social-emotional support. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to upholding the school's mission and anti-bias/anti-racist pedagogy, and will be able to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and families.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and coordinate the Montessori classroom to meet the needs of all students
• Maintain a prepared learning environment according to the developmental and curricular specifications outlined in the Montessori Scope & Sequence
• Attend weekly coaching meetings, level meetings, and PD sessions to stay updated on best practices and share knowledge with colleagues
• Train classroom team members to maintain consistent standards, freedoms, and limits for children through the use of the Montessori method
• Set limits and boundaries while maintaining high standards for child behavior in the Montessori context

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field required
• AMI or AMS Montessori Primary diploma required
• At least 2 years of experience teaching in a public school setting, preferably in a Montessori program
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and families
• Fluency in English required; fluency in a second language is a plus
