School Psychologist Position Available

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to support the academic achievement and mental health of our students in Edinburg, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations to ensure student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student achievement.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals, ensuring students receive tailored support.
  • Offer consultation to teachers and staff on behavioral and academic interventions, enhancing instructional practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in school psychology, applying knowledge to improve student outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Virginia state licensure as a School Psychologist, ensuring expertise in state-specific laws and regulations.
  • Certification from the Virginia Department of Education for School Psychologists, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to special education, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
