Job Title: School Nurse

Edinburg Independent School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide health services to students, including first aid, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Develop and implement health education programs for students, staff, and parents.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and response efforts.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic life support certification (BLS) and first aid certification.
Working Conditions:

The School Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to students in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents, and maintain accurate and confidential health records.
