Speech Therapist Opportunity at Avante at Melbourne, Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to provide high-quality services to our residents at Avante at Melbourne, a Skilled Nursing Facility. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their communication goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation.
  • Conduct regular screenings to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
  • Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Monitor resident's response to intervention and modify treatment as indicated.
  • Develop home or community programming to maintain and enhance resident performance.
  • Provide clinical information concerning safety and functional needs for discharge.
  • Adhere to established confidentiality standards.
  • Implement and conduct treatment as outlined in treatment plan.
  • Assist with and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement program.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
  • Current state licensure or license eligible.
  • 0-3 years of long-term care experience.
