Hours: 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday (Initial 5 weeks); 12-hour shifts (Day/Night options available) for the remainder of the program.

We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprenticeship program offered by Northshore Health System. This is a full-time, compensated position ($16.08/hour) with benefits, encompassing both classroom instruction and practical training within a 40-hour work week. All educational expenses, training materials, and examination fees are fully covered.
Key Responsibilities of Program Participants:
- Successfully complete a 4-week training program (2 weeks of classroom learning, followed by 2 weeks of hybrid instruction).
- Commit to an 8-hour day shift for the first 5 weeks of the program.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance for all classes and scheduled shifts.
- Pass the Certified Nursing Assistant exam within 2 weeks after completing the training program.
- Agree to accept a full-time PCT position at Northshore Health System, with day and night shifts available.
The PCT Apprenticeship program is a collaborative effort between Northshore Health System and an accredited educational institution, featuring a 4-week on-site certified nursing assistant program. Participants will receive compensation throughout the training period.
Upon successful completion of the course and passing the Certified Nursing Assistant exam, participants will advance to a PCT role (with an increased salary) within Northshore Health System.
