Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Management Professional to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. This part-time position will be responsible for supporting the management team at our Hooks & Hangers retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Supervision: Support managers at both retail locations with staff scheduling, coverage, and supervision.
  • Onboarding and Training: Responsible for onboarding new staff, training, and assisting managers with evaluations.
  • Store Operations: Responsible for maintaining store operating procedures, ensuring all staff comply.
  • Revenue Growth: Responsible for maintaining and increasing revenue through creative and administrative strategies and interventions meeting customer demand.
  • Store Maintenance: Responsible for the store's cleanliness, neatness, and coordinating maintenance as needed.
  • Staff Morale: Build staff morale, commitment, and positive teamwork.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make timely decisions based on the immediate needs of the store.
  • Merchandise Management: Creativity required; including knowledge of high-quality and vintage merchandise preferred.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently.
  • Store Coverage: Assist in providing store coverage for multiple locations as needed outside of normally scheduled hours.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Lifting Ability: Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Experience: Experience working with disabled adults preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
