Role Overview
As a Tax Manager, you will:
- Lead and oversee tax compliance projects, ensuring adherence to both firm and professional standards while meeting budgetary and timeline expectations.
- Coordinate and schedule tax engagements with clients and internal resources.
- Act as the primary tax liaison for clients, ensuring they receive timely and proactive communication.
- Conduct thorough reviews of tax documentation and calculations prepared by team members.
- Evaluate tax returns, perform tax research, and manage other deliverables as requested.
- Maintain open communication with clients and engagement partners regarding project updates and service opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and senior accountants.
- Engage in firm initiatives and contribute to various projects.
- Stay updated on technical expertise in specialized tax areas relevant to your industry.
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- A valid CPA designation.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Caseware, and tax preparation and research software.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $150,000, influenced by various factors including location, skills, experience, and business needs. Eligible candidates may also receive an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
