MISSION
Quantum Research International is in search of a Tier 2/3 Help Desk Technician/Systems Administrator to provide essential support to our Corporate Office, CAOC, and Cyber Operations Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage tasks related to help desk operations, desktop support, and basic systems administration, utilizing a setup that includes Windows 10/11, M365, and VMware virtualization.
- Handle daily end-user support inquiries through phone or in-person interactions.
- Oversee the imaging and installation of desktop and laptop systems, including the backup and restoration of user profiles.
- Administer user accounts in Active Directory.
- Set up Polycom VOIP users and ensure the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of server hardware and software.
- Implement operating system enhancements to boost system reliability and performance.
- Develop and advocate for standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a comprehensive database/library of hardware and software configurations, along with all supporting documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Help Desk/Desktop support and 1 to 2 years in Systems Administration.
- An Associate's degree in an IT-related field is preferred, although 3 years of proven experience and relevant IT certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree. A Bachelor's degree in IT/CIS is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to frequently move, install, and troubleshoot computers, equipment, printers, and monitors as required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, with a current clearance being advantageous.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Windows-related tasks, including:
- PXE boot processes
- Windows imaging using WinPE
- Windows inventory management
- DNS and DHCP scope management
- Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- M365 administration
- Server and network monitoring
- Preferred certifications include: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, MCSA/MCSE.
