Summary


The Process Optimization Engineer enhances organizational efficiency by adeptly overseeing internal operational workflows to minimize confusion, redundancy, and mistakes, while maximizing resource utilization and time management.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the internal project management framework. A high level of professionalism is essential, along with calm, effective, and diplomatic communication with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities are diverse, necessitating considerable judgment to successfully execute tasks with minimal direct oversight.

This position is primarily located in the corporate office but may involve travel to various company sites as needed.


Key Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)

  • Collaborate with department leaders to outline workflow procedures by identifying the stages, dependencies, roles, and outcomes of each task
  • Integrate workflow processes into the project management system and provide guidance on ensuring seamless project execution
  • Guarantee that every task has a clearly designated owner
  • Utilize workflow notifications to automate task assignments and reminders effectively
  • Engage and cooperate with team members and stakeholders, offering clear instructions, constructive feedback, and necessary support
  • Monitor and assess the progress and performance of resources, making adjustments as required
  • Identify and propose solutions to eliminate bottlenecks, ensuring smooth workflow through the routing process
  • Establish a change management protocol that delineates how to request, approve, document, and communicate workflow modifications
  • Keep team members and stakeholders informed about workflow updates, providing essential training and support
  • Manage the relationship with the project management software provider to ensure prompt and thorough resolution of technical issues
  • Coordinate with HR to set up, maintain, and deactivate accounts, user permissions, and system access for current, future, and former employees
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, products, and trends, making recommendations for upgrades
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience with project management software
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in operations or project management or equivalent experience
  • Outstanding customer service abilities and a talent for building rapport with colleagues
  • Strong project management capabilities, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks
  • Ability to respond to inquiries swiftly, professionally, and tactfully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Robust analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Adobe Suite
  • Self-motivated mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license

Work Environment
The Process Optimization Engineer operates from the corporate office and interacts with internal stakeholders throughout the day. Occasionally, this individual may need to travel to other company locations during work hours. The standard hours for this position are typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The Process Optimization Engineer must be available to work additional hours when significant projects arise. Flexibility and readiness to adapt to the company's needs are essential.

Physical Requirements


The physical condition of the Process Optimization Engineer must be adequate for the consistent and successful execution of the responsibilities outlined for this role.

This position frequently necessitates standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting up to twenty-five pounds. The Process Optimization Engineer must be capable of driving as part of their work duties.
