About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Shelter Technician at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and supportive environment for homeless individuals, encouraging them to connect with daytime services and secure permanent housing.

Responsibilities
  • Establish trust with clients and provide supportive interventions for socially complex individuals
  • Work collaboratively with the team to produce a staffing schedule that meets the needs of the team
  • Participate in a 7-day a week operation, with staff sharing weekend coverage on a rotational basis
  • Support our outpatient services, serving approximately 360 individuals with HIV/AIDS complicated by homelessness, mental illness, justice system involvement, and/or chemical dependency

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Preferred: 6 months direct service with homeless people or a similar population; Washington State Department of Health Certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA-C), Associate's degree
