About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Support Analyst to join our team at New York Life Insurance Company. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and Resolve Production Issues: Interact with business users and other IT personnel to identify, recommend solutions, and resolve production issues on software and business applications that support our business customers.
  • Technical Expertise: Analyze business production situations and recommend technical solutions, utilizing product knowledge, technical expertise, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Application Support: Assist in the implementation and support of vendor system software packages to meet business requirements, working with technical peers to ensure the health of production environments.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of applications and workflow, with the ability to coordinate through the full ticket life cycle, the efforts of all involved, including end-users, vendors, and internal systems staff.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including IT teams and business users, to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; 3-5 years' experience may be considered equivalent.
  • Experience: Background in customer/technical support, with previous experience supporting applications in a production environment.
  • Skills: Knowledge of distributed application support, mainframe applications, and relational databases, with the ability to understand application workflows and end-to-end business processes.
