Position Overview:
Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services is seeking a per diem Speech Language Practitioner to join our dedicated team at the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Resource Center.

Key Responsibilities:
This role involves a variety of essential functions, including:

  • Delivering high-quality and ethical clinical services.
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Providing direct speech and language services to children aged 0-22 with diverse special needs.
  • Utilizing innovative therapeutic approaches, including co-treatment and collaboration with other professionals such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

Team Collaboration:
The Therapist will engage in a multidisciplinary team approach, contributing to a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and collaboration.

Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records in our documentation systems and spreadsheets is a critical part of this role.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification and state licensure as a Speech/Language Practitioner in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with a range of disabilities and special needs.
  • Strong skills in report writing, treatment planning, and goal setting.
  • Flexibility and a collaborative spirit to meet the needs of clients and the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating respect and encouragement.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A commitment to the values and mission of our organization.
