Key Responsibilities:
The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for:

  • Delivering comprehensive Speech-Language Pathology services, including assessments and treatment plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Conducting regular screenings to identify residents requiring intervention.
  • Evaluating residents to gather necessary data for effective treatment planning.
  • Monitoring and adjusting treatment strategies based on residents' progress and physician directives.

Communication and Collaboration:
Effective communication is vital in this role. Responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting evaluation results and discussing them with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

Documentation:
Accurate documentation is essential, including:

  • Recording assessment results, treatment progress, and service termination.
  • Maintaining detailed records of billable and non-billable time as per departmental guidelines.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
