Job Purpose

The Event Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating events at Drive Shack Inc. by prospecting for new corporate and social event opportunities and converting incoming leads to booked events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Event Coordination: Sell and coordinate events from booking to communicating details to the venues management teams, ensuring each client has a unique and memorable event.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare sales reports to present to Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Prospecting and Business Development: Proactively prospect and introduce new event business opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work directly with various members of the Operations Team and National Sales Directors on areas of opportunity to further enhance the guest experience and profitability.
  • Culture and Innovation: Generate and support programs to drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and fun.
  • Market Knowledge: Responsible for knowing assigned local markets for both corporate and social event opportunities.
  • Revenue Growth: Maximize revenues through upselling techniques.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service.
  • Community Involvement: Represent Drive Shack Inc. by joining and participating in local community organizations.
  • Networking: Attend networking events, trade shows, and expos at least once a month.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment for you and your employees at all times, understand and enforce safe work practices in a fair and consistent fashion.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Event Sales Experience: Minimum three (3) years event sales experience.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Demonstrated knowledge and experience with managing inventory and cost control is required.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
  • Technical Skills: Must be able to use relevant computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; restaurant-specific software including point-of-sale registers and business metric applications).
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school or equivalent education required.
  • Culinary/Hospitality Management Degree or Apprenticeship: Culinary/Hospitality Management Degree or Apprenticeship Program preferred.
