Production Cell Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Utilizes schematics, production timelines, work orders, specification documents, procedural guidelines, and testing protocols to facilitate operations. Reviews manufacturing schedules for designated timeframes and organizes necessary components, materials, tools, and equipment to fulfill production requirements. Initiates and manages inventory requests and storage procedures. Distributes Kan Ban cards to relevant departments as per established protocols.

Accumulates and transfers items between storage locations and production areas. Completes and submits inventory requests, transfer documents, finished goods records, and waste tickets.

Selects, verifies, and confirms the quantity of required materials.

Documents and highlights shortages, potential defects, or damages. Configures the production cell and makes necessary adjustments to tools, gauges, and equipment.

Conducts operational checks as needed.

Observes production visually to uphold quality standards and alerts supervisors of any discrepancies or operational issues. Performs routine maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and minor adjustments) on production equipment.

Instructs new and current staff on effective operational procedures within the department, providing training on all aspects of the production cell. Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a tidy and organized work environment.

Utilizes computer systems to monitor customer order statuses and shop progress.

Performs additional related tasks as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in light mechanical and/or electrical assembly. Proficient in operating power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, soldering irons, riveters, presses, and crimping tools. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and sound judgment are essential.
