As a Construction Sales Engineer with Diamond Peak Recruiting, you will be responsible for managing and leading preconstruction processes for assigned projects, including budgeting, estimating, bidding, engineering, and operations turnover. You will develop written sales proposals and present them to customers, working with a variety of customer types, including owners, tenants, developers, and general contractors. You will also perform duties through various project delivery methods, including plan & spec, design-build, and design-assist. Additionally, you will manage and lead PRM project teams through project interviews and presentations, develop conceptual designs and estimates throughout the project planning phase, and support operations at project start and throughout the project as needed. You will represent the company in preconstruction/design meetings with owners, architects, and other design professionals, and manage and cultivate ongoing relationships with existing customers. You will also initiate and participate in marketing events and customer interactions, generate new prospective customers through typical business development activities, and perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. You will develop and expand your familiarity with the systems, components, and materials we routinely install as part of our business, and develop and expand your understanding of design principles for HVAC, plumbing, controls, and process piping as required to perform preliminary/conceptual designs. You will also maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of codes and standards that affect our industry, and establish yourself professionally in the local industry by getting involved in trade and professional organizations and societies. You will develop and expand your general knowledge in all aspects of the construction industry and our company, such as project management, job cost and financial reports, safety, insurance, and legal. You will attend ongoing training as made available by the company to facilitate your personal growth.**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and lead preconstruction processes for assigned projects

**Requirements:**

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • E.I.T. certification (or the ability to obtain the certification)
  • P.E. certification (or the ability to obtain the certification)
  • Minimum of two years engineering or mechanical construction experience
  • Equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience will be considered for the above qualifications
