Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain database performance tuning and optimization strategies
  • Ensure database security and integrity through regular backups and monitoring

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of PostgreSQL replication, SQL coding, and shell scripting
  • Experience with AWS/Cloud Services, including EC2, RDS, and Aurora
  • Knowledge of cloud deployments, including Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Terraform
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Ability to assess and improve SQL performance
  • Understanding of PostgreSQL's underlying storage engines

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DB2 UDB, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and/or Cassandra
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools, such as SCCM, Puppet, or Ansible
  • Development or enhancement of training and upskilling programs
