Job Overview

Adecco Staffing is collaborating with a premier manufacturing facility seeking to employ a Precision CNC Operator for the 1st Shift. This position offers a pathway to permanent employment.

Role: Precision CNC Operator

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

Work Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday


POSITION SUMMARY:
This advanced role is responsible for fabricating machined components by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while adhering to quality and safety protocols. Experience with Swiss Citizen machines is highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute advanced machine operations, including setup

• Load raw materials and unload finished components

• Operate multiple machines concurrently

• Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for setups

• Adjust tooling and work offsets as necessary

• Troubleshoot existing programs and perform significant edits

• Develop basic programming as required

• Conduct inspections on personal and team members' work

• Make necessary adjustments to ensure dimensional tolerances and quality standards

• Capable of running and setting up all machines within the department

• Demonstrate motivation and commitment to continuous improvement in processes, productivity, quality, and safety

• Utilize measurement tools effectively, such as snap gauges, micrometers, and digital calipers

• Understand and apply QMS, MAX, and SPC databases as needed

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, including lubrication

• Assist in establishing procedures while adhering to quality and safety standards; maintain a proven quality record

• Promote a clean and organized work environment, including equipment maintenance and chip removal

• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments

• Communicate delays and issues promptly and effectively

• Work with minimal supervision

• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Swiss Citizen CNC machines preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Self-driven and motivated

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

• Proficient in trigonometry, geometry, and basic mathematics

• Familiarity with measuring instruments

• Effective troubleshooting skills

• Solid understanding of machining practices

• Advanced knowledge of CNC programming languages

• High School Diploma or GED

• Advanced training or certification in manufacturing/machining or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred
