Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team of Maintenance Professionals: Manage and supervise a team of skilled maintenance technicians to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and Implement Maintenance Strategies: Collaborate with operations to develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor Equipment Performance: Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Manage Maintenance Budgets: Manage the maintenance operational and CAPEX budgets, including forecasting and cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Implement Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to prolong equipment life and reduce repair costs.
  • Mentor and Develop Maintenance Staff: Mentor and develop maintenance staff through training and performance management initiatives to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Technical Degree: A technical degree in a relevant field such as diesel, electrical, hydraulic, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in mobile equipment maintenance management within a heavy industrial environment, preferably in steel manufacturing.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Software and Systems: Experience with maintenance planning software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
