Job Summary

The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in the management of construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and other Field Representatives to ensure the timely and quality completion of projects. This position is a telecommute opportunity, with 50% travel required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of construction projects, including reading and comprehending plans and specifications.
  • Administer contracts and subcontracts, including scheduling, documentation, and cost control.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and permits.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of project schedules.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices and payments.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and document discussions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and communicate construction requirements to site construction superintendents and crews.
  • Ability to pass a background check and/or obtain and maintain government security clearance.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and databases such as Access and PowerPoint.
  • Able to perform in BlueBeam and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Federal Government projects.
  • USACE Quality Control experience.
  • Estimating and Cost Control experience.
Work Environment

The Project Engineer will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent travel required. The position may involve working in confined spaces, changing temperatures, and noise levels.

Physical Demands

The Project Engineer will be required to lift up to 50 pounds, sit for prolonged periods, and perform other physical tasks as necessary.
