Job Summary

The Lead Technician position requires a highly skilled and experienced technician to diagnose and repair complex automotive systems, while also providing leadership and mentoring to a team of technicians. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technical training programs for technicians.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessment.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required.
  • Maintains Federal, State, and Local certification/license where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
