At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Systems Integration Engineer to join our Air Vehicle Hardware Avionics team at the San Diego, CA site.
About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and integration of various subsystems, including Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), Radar Altimeter (RadAlt), Air Data System (ADS), flight actuation system, Vehicle Management Computer (flight computer), and the Ethernet switch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flight computer subsystem lab testing and validation
- Supporting flight test activities and resolving anomalies
- Managing suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of components
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and technical plans
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience in a related field. Alternatively, a Master's degree in STEM with 3 years of experience or a PhD degree is also acceptable. You must also be able to obtain a DOD Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office, Matlab, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multi-meters is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits: The estimated annual salary for this position is $123,600 - $175,500, based on location and experience. Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
