Electronic Controls Mechanic

This is a challenging opportunity to work as an Electronic Controls Mechanic with the U.S. Marine Corps. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and laying out work from electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders. Your duties will include visiting work sites, analyzing, evaluating, and determining damage when planning repair and modification projects. You will also perform functional tests to determine if any operating defects are present by exploring probable reasons and locating equipment, component, and/or subassembly malfunctions. Additionally, you will troubleshoot problem areas and inspect for defective components. Your work will involve installing, overhauling, repairing, fabricating, and/or modifying various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment characterized by moderate complexity of design, construction, and function. You will also perform preventive maintenance on electronic control systems, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration. Furthermore, you will review work order requirements reflecting systems to be overhauled, repaired, fabricated, or modified.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
This position requires a strong understanding of electronic control systems and the ability to work with complex technical information. You must be able to communicate effectively with team members and provide clear instructions to ensure successful project completion. Additionally, you will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver's license. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators, and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. This is a Mission Essential position, and you will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. You will also be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Emergency overtime may be required. Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position. This position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth. Work conditions require the employee to drive a government motor vehicle. The employee is required to maintain a government driver's license at all times for this position. Government driver's license training will be provided by the government.
