Primary Therapist

We are seeking a part-time Primary Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary treatment team at Monte Nido Manhattan Day Treatment. As a Primary Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing individual, group, and family therapy to adults seeking treatment for eating disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to clients with eating disorders
- Serve as a liaison with families and outpatient providers to ensure seamless care
- Interact with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
- Participate in discharge and aftercare planning to ensure clients receive ongoing support
- Provide therapeutic meal support and model a healthy relationship with food
- Provide safe, empathetic, and affirming care for each client based on their unique circumstances and intersecting identities
- Master's degree in clinical counseling or a related discipline
- State license (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
- Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is preferred
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
Monte Nido Manhattan Day Treatment is a primary eating disorder day treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. We prioritize our clients' success and well-being, providing a comprehensive treatment program that includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming.
