The Material Handler III plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of products within the distribution facility. This position involves utilizing ERP systems for the precise location and storage of items, as well as implementing proper packaging techniques and material handling methods. Responsibilities may include preparing goods for shipment and coordinating necessary documentation for both domestic and international deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Picking and packing items accurately.
  • Processing customer orders, including scanning barcodes and labeling packages.
  • Utilizing RF technology for order processing.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Completing RF device training to achieve necessary operational profiles.
  • Verifying accuracy and packaging of shipments.

Pallet Management:

  • Efficiently palletizing completed orders and preparing them for shipment.
  • Reorganizing pallets as needed for outgoing shipments.
  • Handling dock manifest duties, including scanning pallets and operating shrink wrapping equipment.
  • Transporting pallets using material handling equipment as required.
  • Ensuring accuracy in shipment packaging.

Inventory and Material Movement:

  • Utilizing ERP systems for tracking and managing inventory.
  • Preparing and executing documentation for shipments.
  • Handling inbound and outbound materials based on operational needs.
  • Loading and unloading shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Completing tasks in a timely manner while adhering to departmental standards.
  • Locating and replenishing products as necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Adhering to safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries.
  • Training on SAP functions as needed.

Equipment Operation:

  • Operating material handling equipment safely and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Keeping equipment in good condition and compliant with established procedures.
  • Maintaining certification for equipment operation.

Safety and Quality Assurance:

  • Conducting all job activities in a safe manner and following safety requirements.
  • Reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Understanding and adhering to organizational quality standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and professionalism in the workplace.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with material handling equipment.
  • Forklift certification is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting distribution documents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Familiarity with metrics-driven operations.
  • Basic analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
