Job Title: Assembly Team Lead

At Edwards Vacuum, we are seeking an experienced Assembly Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to our assembly team to meet daily output targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute the production plan by directing a team of production assemblers and ensuring daily/weekly production output is met.
  • Drive a safety-first culture within the team and lead by example.
  • Facilitate training for the production assembly team and provide direction and guidance as required.
  • Communicate progress updates and manage troubleshooting across teams and functional areas.
  • Maintain an organized work area (6S) to include workstations, equipment, and walkways.
  • Participate and contribute in continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive team morale with an open atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Act as the subject expert for assembly processes.
  • Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance and work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully take direction from the Cell Leader and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.
  • High School diploma minimum, Associate degree is a benefit.
  • 1-3 years assembly experience required, Team Lead experience desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
  • Experience with hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a small group.
  • Good communication skills, ability to motivate and build team morale.
  • Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems beneficial.
