Operations Manager

The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, implementing production schedules, and managing plant personnel to achieve business goals and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement production schedules to meet business objectives and customer demands.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to address issues and maintain product quality.
- Recruit, train, and manage plant staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and professional development.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage plant budgets and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and adopt best practices.
- Develop and execute long-term strategies to support business growth and sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior management to align plant operations with overall company goals.
- Prepare and present operational reports and performance metrics to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in plant management or a similar role in the manufacturing/precast industry.
- Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in using production management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- This position typically works in a manufacturing plant setting.
- Must be able to wear required PPE such as hard hat, hearing protection, work boots, and safety glasses.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and other elements associated with a production environment.
