Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist II PRN to join our team at Lee's Summit Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist II PRN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgical team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in the care of patients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide care for patients of all ages, from birth to geriatric.
  • Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field.
  • Assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
  • Competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular Surgery.
