Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Lee's Summit Medical Center, part of HCA MidAmerica Health. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide care for patients of all ages, from birth to geriatric.
  • Understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
  • Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintain a sterile field.
  • Assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
  • Competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular Surgery.
