Job Summary:
The Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide care for patients of all ages, from birth to geriatric.
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field.
- Assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
- Competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular Surgery.
