About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Officer to join our team at the Central Intelligence Agency. As a Cyber Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the integrity and availability of CIA's data and information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect Agency Data and Systems: Utilize sophisticated tools, instrumentation, and knowledge of CIA Information Technology (IT) and tradecraft to monitor, evaluate, and manage IT risk.
  • Identify and Mitigate Threats: Identify current threats, mitigate vulnerabilities, anticipate future challenges, and innovate solutions to safeguard CIA's data and systems.
  • Lead Cybersecurity Initiatives: Develop and implement information systems consistent with cyber security policies and procedures, and lead business areas and activities.
  • Supervise and Manage Employees: Supervise and manage employees, develop and manage a budget according to strategic priorities, and represent your program area to senior officials at the Agency and the Intelligence Community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security/Assurance, or other related engineering and STEM fields.
  • Relevant Experience: Track record of progressively responsible cyber experience in one or more of the following areas: networks, operating systems, and application-layers, cloud technologies, wireless technologies, email security and filtering technologies, and mobile technologies.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication skills that convey technical cybersecurity concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Continuous Learning: Strong commitment to continuous learning and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
