Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Novolex. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet customer specifications and adhere to established corporate and facility guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend monthly safety meetings and participate in creating a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and support the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures for every employee and visitor.
  • Work safely with hot plastics in the lab and on the floor, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ensure assigned work areas are kept clean and organized, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Responsible for daily testing of products and recording data, providing accurate and reliable results.
  • Assist with trials and support testing efforts associated with raw materials, ensuring the highest quality products.
  • Inform production operators on product quality, including conforming and non-conforming products.
  • Notify management of non-conforming material, ensuring prompt action is taken to rectify the issue.
  • Collect production samples and perform all finished product testing, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in labeling and quarantining of non-conforming material, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
  • Assist in internal facility audits, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation and retention of quality documents, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Responsible for ensuring all testing equipment is accurately calibrated per policy, maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer and math skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with production operators and management.
  • A good self-starter, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to push, pull, twist, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift and carry up to 49 pounds.
