Position Overview

Salary: $18.66 per hour

L'Arche Erie offers a unique opportunity to engage with adults who have intellectual disabilities. Our focus is on providing support in daily living activities and personal care within a home environment. We cherish the individuality and talents of each resident through meaningful relationships and shared experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain alertness during assigned hours
  • Be present and responsive to the needs of the residents, quickly understanding their support requirements
  • Follow the guidance of the Program Specialist regarding home management, daily living skills, and medication administration
  • Comply with Pennsylvania State Regulations as outlined in the 6400 Regulations
  • Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and other necessary documentation
  • Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Document daily activities, manage medication filing, and check-in
  • Provide transportation for residents as necessary
  • Engage in community activities and contribute to the household
  • Embrace the values and philosophy of L'Arche as articulated in our Charter
  • Be a supportive and collaborative team member
  • Work independently when required
  • Complete all mandatory training promptly

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Required clearances (Act 34 and FBI for out-of-state applicants)
  • Strong writing and communication abilities
  • Commitment to the mission and values of L'Arche
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
