Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at the City of Alvin. As an EMT, you will be responsible for administering Basic Life Support and emergency medical techniques, serving as a member of a Basic Life Support/Mobile Intensive Care Unit (BLS/MICU) team, and maintaining ambulance vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Basic Life Support and emergency medical techniques
  • Serve as an EMT on a BLS/MICU team
  • Maintain ambulance vehicles and equipment
  • Continue education relative to medical advancements
Requirements
  • Training and Experience: Prefer one or more years of Emergency Medical experience as an EMT and a High School Diploma or GED
  • Licenses, Certificates, and Recertification: Possession of a Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certificate and a valid Class C Texas Driver's License
  • Continuing Education: Must maintain continuing education hours within DSHS guidelines
Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary: $16.79 an hour
