Floor Technician

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining all floor surfaces, buffing and waxing floors, and extracting and vacuuming carpets.

• Maintain all floor surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Buff and wax floors to maintain their appearance and durability
• Extract and vacuum carpets to remove dirt and debris
• Utilize proper chemicals and equipment to ensure effective cleaning
• Report repair needs to the Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate
• Request needed supplies and equipment from the Supervisor
• Identify and correct safety hazards and abide by safety rules
• Have reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and know the employee's responsibility to enforce it
• Attend weekly in-services, understand, and comply with Patient Care Management Systems
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

• Experience in floor care
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
