Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Moody's Analytics. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software solutions for our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions for multi-tiered enterprise applications using Java, Python, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices and standards.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including SCRUM, unit testing, continuous build and integration, and code reviews.
  • Work with data access techniques for both relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our software solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of professional software design and development experience on multi-tiered enterprise applications.
  • Production experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proficient in data access techniques for both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with agile development processes, including SCRUM, unit testing, continuous build and integration, and code reviews.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently and to own a business mission or lead a small team.
  • Works well in a fast-paced team environment; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Has superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS2/3, XML, XSLT, and other relevant technologies.
  • Experience with Eclipse (CDT), IntelliJ IDEA, and other development tools.
  • Experience with Tomcat, WebSphere, Jetty, Apache, and other application servers.
  • Experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and other application frameworks and engines.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and others.
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and other relevant technologies.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $134,800.00 - $195,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
