Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Reimbursement Analyst I to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Provider Finance Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of Medicaid reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) participating in the SHARS program, traveling to assigned regions to provide in-person consultation and guidance.
  • Analyze annual key performance indicators to assist LEAs in maximizing federal reimbursement opportunities.
  • Develop and process policy documents, including policy guidelines, agency rules, and state plan amendments, related to the SHARS program.
  • Communicate complex information to LEA employed staff, interfacing with various stakeholders, including contracted providers, provider representatives, and agency staff.
  • Perform other work as assigned or required to maintain and support office and HHSC operations.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of health and human service programs, services, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of accounting, business, and management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations relating to Medicaid reimbursement and public administration.
  • Ability to analyze laws, regulations, program policies, and issues.
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, implement, and interpret policies, procedures, and rules.
