Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Assistant to join our team at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to employees and management alike. Your primary focus will be on personnel operations, ensuring that all HR-related tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Personnel Operations: Manage and coordinate various personnel-related tasks, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and separations.
  • HR Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to employees, managers, and leadership on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer and maintain accurate records of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in human resources, preferably in a government agency or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
