In the role of Team Leader for Cash Management Operations, you will oversee a group of 5-10 professionals responsible for the management of financial transactions for PCIS. This individual will possess the skills necessary to guide a team and understand the expectations required to provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the financial transaction systems utilized at Schwab. This position demands consistent high-level performance and adherence to quality standards established by the Director, in alignment with the needs and expectations of our corporate clients and plan providers while fulfilling all team obligations.

This leader will inspire, motivate, and cultivate a diverse team dedicated to executing our organization's mission and objectives. Reporting to the Director of PCIS Operations, this manager will:

  • Oversee all team personnel and activities, including all wire transfers, financial transactions, and necessary approvals.
  • Set annual goals for the team; mentor and guide employees to achieve these goals while addressing performance concerns promptly and respectfully.
  • Enhance processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist the team in establishing essential controls to mitigate risks in our procedures.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships within Schwab, focusing on Schwab Retirement Plan Service, Charles Schwab Trust Bank, Schwab Retirement Technologies, and Institutional PCRA clients.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks, balancing high productivity with superior service quality while meeting or exceeding established service level standards.
  • Execute responsibilities with confidence, minimal supervision, and sound judgment to reduce risk for the organization.
  • Comply with all risk and compliance protocols while adhering to corporate and industry standards.
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as directed by management.
What You Have
  • 3+ years of experience in cash management.
  • 2-3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with regulations governing qualified retirement plans and a working knowledge of ERISA is preferred.
  • Strong client service skills, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • A sense of urgency, exceptional operational, organizational, and follow-up skills with the capacity to manage and process complex tasks.
  • Ability to identify and resolve intricate issues within a team setting, collaborating with various levels of management and business partners.
  • Capability to work across multiple locations in a collaborative spirit to ensure consistency in our approach with associates and clients.
  • Proficient communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal; a proven track record of fostering proactive, constructive dialogue with senior business leaders and peers.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to utilize various applications simultaneously, including MS Word and Excel, internet research, database systems, and email.
  • A positive attitude, high emotional intelligence, team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and ethics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
