The Respiratory Therapy Department at SSM Health is dedicated to providing high-quality respiratory care in a collaborative environment. We are proud to offer a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth and teamwork.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 *
· Pay Rate: Starting at $28.36/hour
· Shift Differentials: Additional $3/hour for night and weekend shifts
· Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates
Work Schedule: Night shifts, 3-12 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
The respiratory therapist plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive respiratory care. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as per departmental protocols.
- Administering oxygen and therapeutic gases effectively.
- Setting up and monitoring ventilators in alignment with hospital policies.
- Providing aerosolized medications and performing chest physiotherapy.
- Engaging in critical care scenarios and assisting in invasive procedures.
- Monitoring patient status and adjusting care plans based on assessments.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Experience: Preferred 1 year, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Licensure: Must be registered with the N.B.R.C and licensed in the state of Missouri prior to employment
Work Environment:
This position may involve working in high-acuity areas, requiring responsiveness to critical situations.
