Job Title: Project Manager and Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager and Estimator to join our team at Newberg Steel & Fabrication. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare and submit cost estimates, bids, and proposals to clients.
  • Track and manage project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Coordinate with field crews, steel detailers, and other stakeholders to ensure project execution.
  • Generate and submit RFIs, track responses, and manage cost impacts.
  • Manage payment applications, invoices, and change orders.
  • Track job-costing and submit material receipts to AP.
  • Coordinate welding inspections, anchor inspections, material certifications, and welding procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural steel estimating and construction project management.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication, steel erection, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and navigate through structural and architectural plan drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in bid processes, estimating, and cost control.
  • Knowledge in the metals industry, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, coatings, and surface prep.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience using Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to manage time and resources, work independently, and collaboratively with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide weekly reports to management to review revenue targets, bid results, and forecasting.
  • Review awarded contract documents with management and legal team prior to signing and/or executing contract.
  • Ability to problem-solve and efficiency in math on low and high-level tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
