We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager with a Secret clearance or higher to join our team at American Systems. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing contractor personnel program/project operations, developing operational procedures, and managing acquisition and employment of program/project resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
  • Oversee contractor personnel program/project operations by developing operational procedures.
  • Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements.
  • Direct efforts of team(s) to include contractors at multiple locations.
  • Regularly brief senior leadership on program/project status and milestones.
  • Assist our customer in the development of management plans and strategies.
  • Milestone planning and tracking.
  • Evaluate program schedules, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule as well as develop technical program planning and control documents such as our monthly Management Report.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating the agenda to meetings, prepare presentation materials, host and/or participate in actual meeting and drafting their subsequent minutes and action items.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant professional engineering management experience to include at least six (6) years of professional experience in Defense acquisition, and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • In lieu of a MS degree, we will also accept BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related scientific or technical discipline and an additional four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DoD 5000 series.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
