We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Assistant to join our team at Porter Medical Center. As a Nutrition Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by providing exceptional food and nutrition services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals to patients, ensuring that all dietary needs are met.
  • Distribute and collect food and beverage services on a daily basis.
  • Assist patients with food and beverage menu requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Represent the department in a professional and courteous manner to patients, employees, and visitors.
  • Prepare kitchen production sheets according to patient preferences.
  • Assist department staff with completing staff meals and catering needs as necessary.
  • Ensure the safety and sanitation of the department in compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Utilize patient EMR in accordance with prescribed therapeutic diets.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrates willingness to adapt to change.
  • Mental and physical sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Satisfactory references.
  • Works well with all levels of staff, patients, and families.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year experience in the Food Service field.
  • Experience in Food Safety desired.

We offer a competitive salary range of $15.00 - $18.48 per hour, with a $3,000 employment bonus paid in two equal installments. This is a full-time position with 40 standard hours per week and every other weekend rotation.
