JOB TITLE: Patient Care Associate

Job Summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our Surgical Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the Patient Care Associate will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to patients and families during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

- Assist with patient care activities before, during, and after surgical procedures

- Communicate effectively with patients and families to address their needs and concerns

- Transport patients safely and efficiently

- Monitor and record vital signs

- Prepare and maintain equipment and rooms

- Handle laboratory specimens

- Perform clerical duties as needed

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED

- Previous patient care experience

- Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
