Product Inspector Associate

Nesco Resource is seeking a highly skilled Product Inspector Associate to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $15.00.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits on incoming, in-process, and outgoing products to ensure quality and compliance. They will also provide direction and assistance with sort and rework procedures, create and maintain documentation, and review and label suspect non-conforming materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough audits of products to ensure quality and compliance
- Provide direction and assistance with sort and rework procedures
- Create and maintain accurate documentation
- Review and label suspect non-conforming materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 6-12 months of related experience and/or training
- Journeyman, ASQ certification, or military experience accepted
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Work Environment:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
- Work environment is usually very loud
