Nesco Resource is currently in search of Quality Assurance Inspector Associates for our esteemed client.

Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Compensation: $15.00/hr

The role involves conducting thorough evaluations on incoming, in-process, and outgoing products as necessary. Responsibilities include guiding and assisting with sorting and rework processes, creating, updating, and maintaining all relevant documentation related to non-conforming materials, and assessing, qualifying, and labeling any questionable non-conforming materials during production.


GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workstation and surrounding area.
  • Understand and utilize all safety devices and equipment consistently.
  • Participate effectively as a cross-functional team member, making decisions that support the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
  • Comprehend and adhere to the principles and procedures of the company's Quality and Environmental policies.
  • Generate, maintain, and accurately report daily operational activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate sorting and containment tasks, including documentation.
  • Select products for testing at designated stages in the production process, evaluating products for various qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
  • Execute and document all auditing functions as required. (Examples: dock auditing, receiving inspection, steel receiving, BOR & EOR inspection.)
  • Collaborate with operators to clarify gage usage, paperwork, and standards for part acceptance and rejection.
  • Keep records and logs current and accurate.
  • Assist in sorting and salvaging as needed.
  • Proficiently use all inspection and testing equipment.
  • Reference computer systems for instructions and any special requirements.
  • Log the status of all lots into the computer system.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • An Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journeyman, ASQ certification, or military experience is accepted.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
