Job Overview

Position Title: Healthcare Consultant II

Location: Remote with travel requirements

Contract Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of extension)

Compensation: $43.74 per hour on W2

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Client: Conflux Systems

Travel Requirements: 50-75% travel for in-person engagements within designated regions.

Role Description

This position is primarily remote, but candidates must be prepared for significant travel to conduct face-to-face meetings as needed. The role focuses on the development, execution, and promotion of healthcare service strategies that enhance the quality of care and provide a competitive edge for Conflux Systems.

The consultant will engage in the following key areas:

  • Utilization management
  • Quality assurance
  • Network oversight
  • Clinical policy formulation

Utilizing analytical skills and sound judgment, the consultant will support the case management process to ensure optimal healthcare outcomes for clients. This includes coordinating care, providing education, and leveraging care management tools effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of client needs and eligibility, recommending tailored approaches for case resolution.
  • Identify high-risk factors that may affect client outcomes and coordinate necessary referrals to clinical case management.
  • Implement and monitor care plans, ensuring progress is tracked and adjusted as needed.
  • Enhance the quality of care by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address barriers and present cases for review.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to secure necessary services that align with client benefits and healthcare needs.
  • Empower clients through coaching and support, promoting informed decision-making in their healthcare journeys.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in behavioral health, social services, or a related field. Candidates must be willing to travel locally to meet clients in person and possess reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. Experience in case management and discharge planning is advantageous, as is familiarity with managed care and home/community-based services.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or a non-licensed Master's degree in behavioral health or human services is required, with preferred fields including psychology, social work, or counseling.
